About

I want software to feel calm until you need it, then quick and alive when you do.

These days I’m Cogent’s only designer, and I ship the front end too, so there’s no handoff, just me arguing with me. Before that I was the first designer for 15+ early-stage startups, mostly from Greylock’s portfolio, usually teams of under five who weren’t ready for a full-time hire. I worked straight with the founders and moved at zero-to-one speed without letting the craft slip. I’m still up for a little moonlighting, and always up for a good conversation.
